Travel-tech startup Teleport acquired by StampMyVisa

StampMyVisa, a business-to-business (B2B) visa platform, has purchased Teleport, a cutting-edge travel technology startup based in South India and supported by prominent Indian startup founders such as Phanindra Sama (RedBus), Vidit Aatrey (Meesho), and Kunal Shah (CRED).

With the combination of StampMyVisa’s operational strength and B2B depth with Teleport’s digital-first, youth-focused product DNA, this strategic acquisition represents a major milestone in SMV’s mission to streamline and scale visa services throughout India and Southeast Asia.

With a 99.5% success rate, StampMyVisa, which was founded in 2023 by Pravin Wadekar, Rahul Borude, and Amey Anekar, allows corporates, OTAs, travel agents, and MICE companies to process visas for more than 60 countries. The company claims to have processed over 50,000 visas in just six months and to have quadrupled its revenue in just eight months. To support its next stage of expansion, SMV is presently in advanced negotiations to raise $3 million.

StampMyVisa’s co-founder & CEO Rahul Borude, a former CRED employee, said, “This moment feels like coming full circle — from being part of CRED’s early team to now acquiring a startup backed by Kunal Shah. Teleport has built a loyal user base and strong brand affinity among young Indian travelers. With this acquisition, we are bringing together the best of both worlds: Teleport’s consumer innovation and SMV’s scalable visa infrastructure.”

Teleport, which Nikita Dresswala founded in 2022, focuses on expediting travel visa applications. The Mumbai-based business offers a platform that streamlines the visa application procedure and helps with submission and approval. In a seed funding round, Angel List and other investors contributed $507K.

StampMyVisa’s developer product, Konveyor, has developed an API infrastructure for processing visas. Any bank, OTA, fintech, or travel platform can integrate visa services natively into their own ecosystem thanks to this API stack.
