UK-based Artionis acquired by visa processing startup Atlys

In an all-cash transaction, visa processing platform Atlys purchased the UK division of Artionis, a visa service provider, in order to grow internationally.
Artionis UK, which manages visas from the UK to Russia, will contribute to the advancement of Atlys’ European technology through this acquisition.
The agreement, according to Atlys, will enable it to streamline visa procedures and provide prompt services to tourists in the UK. The company then intends to grow in comparable European markets, such as Germany and France.
With 400 workers spread across 65 offices across 25 countries, Artionis is a government outsourcing partner. The UK branch, which has offices in Manchester, Edinburgh, and London, has been acquired by Atlys.
Atlys, four, wants to simplify visa-related procedures. Its technology, according to the company, can speed up processing times to as little as 55 seconds and lower the percentage of visa rejections. Applying for a visa on the platform takes an average of just over 4–10 minutes and covers more than 150 destinations.
Atlys has increased its presence in important international markets, such as the US, UAE, and UK. Its leadership in the engineering, marketing, and product divisions has also been strengthened.
Atlys, which was co-led by Elevation Capital and Peak XV Partners, had raised $20 million in its Series B funding round earlier in September 2024.
