USD 45 M EV deal won by L&T Technology Services
L&T Technology Services, a global pure-play engineering services company, said that it has secured a USD 45 million contract to offer engineering services for a US-based automaker’s electric vehicle business.
LTTS will collaborate with the customer during the five-year deal to offer solutions based on its e-mobility technological expertise. The ER&D facility of LTTS in Krakow, Poland, will supply this.
In a regulatory filing, the company said, “It has been awarded a deal worth USD 45 million from a US-based automotive Tier 1 company, to be its strategic engineering partner and provide engineering services for its electric vehicle (EV) product portfolio.”
In the next three years, LTTS expects to have over 300 engineers operating out of its Krakow, Poland headquarters, marking the business’s entry into Eastern Europe, according to the company.
“We have been investing in electric, autonomous and connected vehicle (EACV) as part of our six big bets and our engineers have developed several new scalable e-mobility solutions that can accelerate global automotive players’ EV development journey,” L&T Technology Services CEO and Managing Director Amit Chadha said.
He goes on to say that this historic purchase proves the company’s strategic commitment is paying off and solidifies LTTS’ dominance in the EACV market.
“The Krakow R&D centre will serve as a near-shore centre to Western European and North American clientele across verticals,” Chadha added.
