VCats led $1 M Pre-series A funding raised by plant-based kids’ clothing brand Kidbea

Kidbea, a kids’ fashion brand made of bamboo, has raised $1 million in capital through a pre-series A round headed by Venture Catalysts, an early-stage investment firm.

Agility Ventures, BestVantage Investments, and HiroMizushima, a well-known Japanese celebrity actor, were among the individuals involved in the funding round, in addition to Ashok Bahadur, HiroAgarwal, and Upasana Agarwal, the founders of Droom.

According to a press release from the company, Kidbea will use the funds to grow its staff, enhance operations, and advance its marketing and branding initiatives. Furthermore, a deliberate fraction of the funds will go toward technology and research and development.

Kidbea, a company founded in 2021 by Swapnil Srivastav, Mohammad Hussain, and Aman Kumar Mahto, specializes in producing comfortable, skin-friendly children’s clothing made from bamboo plants.

Currently, Kidbea can be found in over 30 partnered stores housed in upscale children’s hospitals, as well as on all major internet platforms. Furthermore, Kidbea has extended its global reach to encompass Australia, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates.

According to the company’s founders, Kidbea saw an 8X increase in revenue in FY23 and plans to grow to a Rs 500 crore brand within the following three years.
