Women’s Health Accelerator Programme’s second cycle launched by Flat6Labs, Organon

The second cycle of the Women’s Health Accelerator Programme has begun, according to announcements made by Organon, a global healthcare organization committed to enhancing women’s health, and Flat6Labs, the top seed and early-stage venture capital firm in MENA.

Since its 2011 founding in Cairo, Flat6Labs has grown to include several offices throughout the region and ongoing plans to enter more emerging markets. It oversees several seed funds with an aggregate AUM of more than US$85 million and has invested in more than 100 creative and tech-driven startups.

In contrast, Organon is a multinational healthcare organization that was established outside of the US and Canada as a spinoff from Merck, also known as MSD, with the goal of enhancing women’s health over the course of their lives.

The two businesses have now unveiled the second cycle of the Women’s Health Accelerator Programme. Building on the first cycle’s success, this cycle intends to provide digital health startups in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENAT) with solutions that will improve women’s health.

Family planning, fertility planning, and women’s wellness will be the three primary focus areas that are crucial to women’s health in the second cycle. The primary goal of the accelerator program is to address the unique health-related issues that women in the area face, with the ultimate goal of identifying long-term, sustainable solutions.

In order to graduate startups that are prepared to launch and take on current issues in women’s health, the initiative seeks to accelerate the growth of 15 startups and engage with a variety of stakeholders. Furthermore, to enhance outreach, scouting, and selection efforts, the program will incorporate both virtual and physical community events, including webinars, info sessions, roadshows, and pitchathons.

Applications are open until May 16.
