CollegeDekho raised Rs 40 Cr funding from Recur Club

A structured debt funding of Rs 40 crore has been obtained by CollegeDekho, an online platform that assists students in selecting the best college, from debt marketplace Recur Club.
The business raised Rs 30 crore (roughly $3.5 million) from Lighthouse Canton at the beginning of this month. A $35 million Series B round led by Winter Capital, ETS Strategic Capital, Calega, and Man Capital was also closed in December 2021.
According to a press release from CollegeDekho, the money raised will be used to support operations, boost technological developments, and spur growth as the business gets ready for the next admissions season.
Co-founded in 2015 by Saurabh Jain, Rohit Saha, and Ruchir Arora, CollegeDekho provides an online platform for learning, enrolling, and discovering colleges. The organization assists students in locating appropriate programs and gives them information about universities, courses, and careers. The platform also provides colleges with business-to-business (B2B) solutions, such as student recruitment and digital marketing.
The platform assists colleges and universities in providing degrees that are focused on future skills, improving the overall educational experience and giving students the tools they need to succeed in the workforce.

Market research predicts that by 2035, the higher education sector in India will have grown from $55 billion in 2023 to $180 billion.
CollegeDekho asserts that it has provided information on more than 35,000 colleges and courses over the years. More than 225 million website sessions were recorded in the last year alone, and it helped 60% of private college admissions in India by offering free tutoring to almost 4 million students. It has helped more than 200,000 students get into college over the past seven years, bringing in more than Rs 5,000 crore in fees for its affiliated universities.
CollegeDekho’s revenue increased by 32.2% to Rs 215.6 crore in FY24 from Rs 163 crore in FY23, according to its most recent financial results.
