With its SGX offering, US tech firm Ambiq Micro broadens its investor base

The US technology company Ambiq Micro, Inc., which specializes in ultra-low power semiconductor solutions for edge AI, announced on Thursday that it has been listed on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX).
According to a statement from the company, the dual listing enhances Ambiq’s current listing on the New York Stock Exchange by increasing investor access throughout Asia and bolstering the company’s long-term growth strategy as demand for energy-efficient AI computing rises globally.
The company stated that Singapore is a critical location for businesses advancing the next generation of AI computing since it is a major hub for technology innovation, semiconductor investment, and international capital markets.
The listing advances the company’s goal of providing ultra-low-power semiconductor solutions that enable intelligence everywhere while fortifying its commitment to all stakeholders throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
“Our listing on the Singapore Exchange marks an important milestone in Ambiq’s growth strategy,
“It expands our presence in Asia and brings us closer to customers, partners, and investors in one of the world’s leading technology and semiconductor markets as adoption of edge AI continues to accelerate across consumer, industrial, healthcare, and smart-environment applications,” said Fumihide Esaka, Chief Executive Officer of Ambiq.
According to Pol de Win, Head of Global Sales and Origination, SGX Group, Ambiq’s launch makes it the first significant worldwide fabless semiconductor design firm on SGX, providing investors with access to two of the fastest-growing technological fields: semiconductors and artificial intelligence.
“As AI moves out of the data center and onto everyday devices, a Singapore listing elevates Ambiq’s profile with Asian investors while supporting its R&D and regional market expansion,” he added.
According to Paul Ng, CEO of EDBI, a division of SG Growth Capital, the investment platform of EDB and EnterpriseSG, Singapore is still establishing itself as a reliable center for semiconductor and deep-tech innovation thanks to an expanding network of businesses, investors, academic institutions, and talent.
“Ambiq’s SGX listing reflects both the company’s achievements and Singapore’s enduring relevance as a base for global technology companies seeking opportunities in Asia,
“We are proud to have supported Ambiq’s journey through market access and industry partnerships, and look forward to helping more companies grow from Singapore,” he added.
Ambiq said that by listing on both the Singapore Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange, it strengthens its position as a world leader in ultra-low power edge AI semiconductor solutions and increases investor access.
