Dhanuka Group signs MoU with PJTSAU to give technical assistance to farmers

The Dhanuka Group, which has been at the forefront of promoting cutting-edge technology to benefit farmers, said that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) here.

According to the MoU, the two institutions will collaborate to provide technical expertise and support to farmers in general.

Dhanuka Group will attend and support conferences, as well as collaborate with the university on crop protection chemical research.

Dhanuka will work with the University to encourage farmers to embrace new agriculture methods, which will help them increase crop yield.

Quality inputs and the use of contemporary technology, such as drones for crop protection, according to Dhanuka Group Chairman R G Agarwal, are critical for considerably growing Telangana’s agricultural exports and making the state a role model for others to follow.

Agarwal urged state farmers to embrace drones, robots, and artificial intelligence (AI) to boost agri-yield, crop quality, and revenue, and to use the greatest quality seeds, fertilisers, and pesticides available.

Telangana has the potential to become a significant hub for the export of farm produce, according to him, but farmers must be educated about the long-term benefits of adopting modern technology and high-quality inputs.

Agarwal added that using the proper and good inputs will also assist farmers in increasing their export share and realising their long-held goal of doubling their revenue.

“There is a vast market for quality Indian agricultural products in overseas markets. The farmers must use quality inputs and take the help of modern technology to increase per hectare yield. This will help them increase their exports and hence income,” Agarwal said.

Farmers must be educated and sensitised, he said, in order to fully benefit from scientific and technical developments in agriculture.

These measures would ultimately aid in attaining Hon’ble Prime Minister’s ambition of doubling farmers’ income and transforming India into a US $5 trillion economy, with the agriculture sector contributing US $1 trillion, according to Agarwal.

He also urged farmers to take advantage of the federal government’s and state governments’ different programmes to boost farm production.
