African Food Fellowship invites Kenyan, Rwandan startups to submit applications

The African Food Fellowship, which is creating a radical movement of African leaders working to transform food systems all over the continent, is now accepting applications.

With funding from the IKEA Foundation, the fellowship was established by eminent organizations Wageningen University and Research and Wasafiri Consulting. It provides food system actors with access to world-class networks, platforms, and training in order to inspire cooperation for more wholesome, equitable, and sustainable food systems.

Applications for the 2023 cohort of Fellows from Rwanda and Kenya are accepted until May 15th. The team will bring on 80 food systems experts, with 40 coming from each nation.

The Fellowship seeks applicants in Rwanda who are involved in the impact areas of Access to Nutritious Foods, Sustainable Land Use, or Food Technology & Trade, while it will accept applications from those involved in Horticulture, Aquaculture, and Agri-finance in Kenya.
