Himshakti raised $99.8K Pre-seed funding from EvolveX
The pre-seed round of sustainable agri-produce brand Himshakti, which is led by EvolveX with We Founder Circle as a co-investor, raised $99.8K. In this round, the startup has also received backing from notable angel investors, VKJ Projects, and venture capital funds like Auxano and Artha Venture Fund.
According to a press release from Himshakti, the money will be utilized for team growth, sales and marketing, and the introduction of new products. In the next three months, the company wants to increase its presence in more than 1,000 upscale stores throughout North India.
Himshakti is an Indian company founded in 2019 by Harshit Sehdev that offers organic goods from the Himalayan region of India, including seasoned salts, spices, teas, cereals, and juices.
The FMCG company, situated in Dehradun, has introduced a range of new organic products, including hemp flour, hemp seeds, hemp oil, nettle tea, and chamomile tea. By giving the local farmers and villagers a reliable source of income, it seeks to empower and assist them.
The FMCG company raised Rs 17 lakh in funding in October of last year, with the help of IIM Kashipur and Artha Venture Fund. Participating angel investors were Varun Agrawal of StarClinch and Anand Kumar of Pier Counsel.
