Agilitas Sports raised strategic funding from Spring Marketing Capital
Agilitas Sports, a platform for athleisure and sportswear, has received strategic funding from Spring Marketing Capital.
According to the company’s press release, this partnership is expected to propel Agilitas towards becoming a major player in the sportswear industry, even though the exact amount of funding has not been revealed.
Agilitas Sports’ CEO and co-founder, Abhishek Ganguly, emphasized that this new investment will strengthen their capacity to grow and develop their brand portfolio.
Agilitas Sports, which was founded by former managing director of Puma India Ganguly along with his associates Atul Bajaj and Amit Prabhu, has already raised over $60 million from a fund managed by Convergent Finance LLP and Nexus Venture Partners over the course of two rounds.
It bought the Italian sports brand Lotto’s brand license from its owner, WHP Global, in April. The company acquired Mochiko, a producer of athletic footwear for companies like Reebok, New Balance, and Adidas, last year.
With the intention of completely changing the sportswear industry in India and abroad, Agilitas Sports has also made large investments in production, marketing, R&D, and distribution.
