Fashion supply startup Thread Factory raises Rs 1.5 Cr Pre-seed funding from AJVC

In a pre-seed funding round headed by Aviral Bhatnagar at AJVC, fashion supply startup Thread Factory has raised Rs 1.5 crore.

The round’s proceeds will be utilized to improve its technology stack, grow its workforce, bring on more manufacturers and retailers, and keep developing a data-driven supply infrastructure for India’s apparel industry.

Thread Factory, which was founded by Vivek Solanki and Paras Jindal, is developing a business-to-business (B2B) platform that links independent clothing retailers with Indian manufacturers. By improving demand visibility, the platform will help manufacturers better plan production while streamlining the way retailers find and source designs.

The startup is tackling inefficiencies in India’s fashion supply chain, where a significant portion of sourcing still takes place via unstructured channels like WhatsApp and phone calls. For retailers, this frequently results in ineffective procurement, poor demand forecasting, and inventory pile-ups.

Through its platform, Thread Factory enables retailers to browse merchandise and place orders while collecting transaction-level data to improve supply side intelligence.

According to the company, its monthly repeat customer rate is 60%, and its annual recurring revenue (ARR) is approximately Rs 4 crore. Additionally, it has already added more than 40 manufacturers to its platform.

AJVC, an early-stage investment firm headed by Aviral Bhatnagar, is still growing its presence among India’s up-and-coming startups. Bubble Me, Finanjo, Mindcase, Care Dale, HandyPanda, Multibagg AI, Nuyug, Mithila Foods, Jaagruk Bharat, TruFides AI, Chop Finance, Gaadi Mech, and Iztri are just a few of the businesses in its portfolio.
