In a Series A funding round headed by IvyCap Ventures, Tiea Connectors, a producer of interconnect and contact solutions, raised Rs 77 crore ($8 million).
Jamwant Ventures, 8X Ventures, and a number of HNI investors participated in the round as well.
The funds will be used by the Bengaluru-based startup to scale operations across industries like electric mobility, aerospace, defense, avionics, and industrial applications, improve automation, bolster R&D and product engineering, and expand manufacturing infrastructure.
Ajith Sasidharan and his team founded Tiea Connectors, which creates precision contacts, high-performance connectors, and connectivity solutions for critical applications.
The company collaborates with manufacturers and OEMs in various industries that need high-reliability interconnection systems.
Product design, rapid prototyping, tooling, material engineering, miniaturization, and precision manufacturing are the main areas of focus for Tiea.
