Africa Tech Summit London selected 15 ventures to pitch
At the eighth Africa Tech Summit (ATS) London on June 7 at the London Stock Exchange, fifteen startups have been selected to present their ideas to potential investors.
In order to promote investment and business in African tech, the ATS conference series brings together tech leaders, MNOs, banks, international investors, entrepreneurs, governments, trade associations, media, and leading ventures. It also offers insight and networking with the African tech ecosystem in London, Kenya, and West Africa.
On June 7, the London Stock Exchange will host the eighth ATS London, an investment showcase that gives startups a chance to pitch their business plans to potential partners and investors, gain visibility, and raise capital to support their expansion.
Seven of the fifteen startups chosen to pitch are based in Nigeria. They are solutions for digital addressing. Hello there, carbon finance platform AI healthcare service, OneHealth e-health platform, and Earthbond PBR Life Sciences, clean energy venture, Rana Energy, energy solutions startup Cool, as well as the fintech startup VeendHQ.
Three are based in South Africa: Plentify, a smart energy company, Decarb.earth, a climate-tech company, and Newform Foods, a food-tech company. The blockchain startup Melanin Kapital, the connectivity company Poa Internet, and the SaaS e-commerce platform Sky.Garden are all based in Kenya.
Wfrley, an app for promotions and instant marketing, from Egypt, and Teraki, an audio streaming platform from Ethiopia, will also be making pitches.
“As we celebrate the eighth ATS London, we are delighted to spotlight 15 ventures defining the future of tech innovation. With over 150 quality entries received this year, the decision-making process was a challenging one. With several of our past ATS Investment Showcase participants securing funding and partnerships, we’re excited to see what the future holds for these ventures,” said Lauren Adair, director at Africa Tech Summit.
