Chelvies Coffee raised $1 M Pre-series A funding

In a pre-Series A funding round led by Endurance Capital, coffee and dining experience brand Chelvies Coffee has raised $1 million. Another $500,000 in debt financing is presently being processed.

According to a press release from Chelvies Coffee, the money raised will be utilized to build more than 30 high-street locations in major Indian cities by 2026, improve the infrastructure of the supply chain, create exclusive food production systems, and bolster operational teams.

Chelvies Coffee is a specialty coffee restaurant brand that was founded in 2023 by Dhruv Singh. It offers fresh, excellent dining options along with premium coffee offerings. With six locations in Ahmedabad and Delhi NCR, the company’s dedication to quality, innovation, and outstanding customer service aims to empower the Indian coffee shop experience.

In addition to a carefully chosen dining menu that features artisanal sandwiches, pasta, and burgers made in-house, the Delhi-based company offers a wide selection of more than 70 specialty coffee brews. The company can provide a sophisticated experience effectively and at scale thanks to its in-house supply chain system, which is backed by base kitchens and centralized dispatch units.

The cafe industry in India is expected to reach $2.6-3.2 billion by 2028, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15-20%, according to market research.

Chelvies asserts that it has demonstrated profitability at the store level and has attained a monthly run rate of INR 1.30 crore. With a European-inspired concept that combines fine specialty coffee with an upscale dining experience, the company hopes to revolutionize coffee culture in India.
