Emergent introduces VibeCon India; offers winning team direct YC interview

Emergent, an AI software development platform, will hold VibeCon India, its premier selection-led hackathon, in Bengaluru on April 16–17. A direct interview with a Y Combinator partner for a future batch will be granted to the winning team.
In order to create a focused week that will bring together founders, engineers, and operators to develop and test new ideas, the event is scheduled right before Y Combinator’s first in-person Startup School India on April 18.
VibeCon is intended to be a high-signal hackathon that places more emphasis on outstanding builders and measurable results than on open participation. To find founders, engineers, operators, and non-technical builders who can quickly turn concepts into functional products, the India edition employs a strict application and selection process.
A smaller group of over 20,000 Indian and foreign applicants was chosen to take part in Bengaluru.
Lightspeed Venture Partners, Together Fund, OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Web Services, Stripe, Razorpay, MongoDB, Starknet, Eigencloud, and Temporal Technologies are just a few of the many ecosystem partners in venture capital, AI research, and developer infrastructure that support VibeCon India. During the hackathon, these partners will offer technical resources, tools, and mentorship.
Cash awards, partner-backed credits, and resources to support ongoing product development will also be given to winning teams.
By strengthening ties between India’s builder community and the global startup ecosystem through VibeCon India, Emergent hopes to accelerate the transition of ideas from concept to business.
