Google accelerator programme aiming to work on challenges faced by women in start-up industry
Google introduced a start-up accelerator for women founders. The program was launched in the month of June 2022, focusing on start-ups founded by women that are in the early stages. On Monday, Google announced the first 20 women co-founders start-up to be added to the accelerator programme. The programme is a part of a larger initiative by Google to improve the start-up world for women. The programme is designed to give special focus on subjects like access to networks, access to capital, hiring challenges, mentorship, and many others which, for a variety of social reasons representation, prove challenging for female founders.
There were about 400 applicants out of which google picked 20 Indian start-ups for their accelerator programme assisting start-ups to secure funds, fix issues, hire, and give proper mentorship.
The accelerator programme is aiming to work on challenges faced by women entrepreneurs, they will further host a workshop on cloud machine learning and AI. List of the start-ups recently selected for the programme: aspire for her, Brown living, ColLearn Education, Commudle, Dubverse, Elda Health, Fitbit’s, FreeStand, Jumping Minds, LXME; MeMeraki, Sprint Studio, The Bridge, TrackNow, Tradyl, OPOD Audio, PickMyWork, Rang De, Savage, Sprint Studio.
