GrowUp Incubator for green social businesses now open for Applications
GrowUp, a Yunus Environment Hub incubator initiative that seeks ideas for sustainable agricultural systems in East Africa, is now accepting applications.
The Yunus Environment Hub (YEH) is a global social business network that develops environmentally friendly solutions. The YEH, which was co-founded and is managed by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus, promotes and develops social business solutions that are financially self-sustaining and solve environmental challenges.
The GrowUp Incubator programme examines how farmers may enhance their produce while nature thrives, as well as how such food systems might help to address challenges like inequality, poverty, and young unemployment.
Its goal is to help early-stage entrepreneurs that have validated their concept and are aiming to expand and self-sustain their social enterprise. Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Burundi will be among the countries supported by the cohort.
Selected entrepreneurs will get bi-weekly personalized mentorship based on their requirements, interactive capacity-building workshops, networking events with local and international partners, and peer-to-peer assistance over the six-month programme.
Until November 21st, you may apply here.
