India Opportunity Fund closed by Capria Ventures at $19 M

The successful fundraising for Capria Ventures’ India Opportunity Fund, which has a target of Rs 153 crore ($19 million), has been announced. Following a full cash withdrawal from its portfolio company Awign, this occurs.

In February 2023, the US-based fund, then known as Unitus Ventures, announced its first close at Rs 75 crore. Eventually, to create a single brand, Capria Ventures and Unitus Ventures combined.

The portfolio of 39 companies from funds I and II will be distributed among eight companies by the India Opportunity Fund.

Awign, BetterPlace, Cuemath, Eduvanz, and Masai School are among the breakout portfolio companies from Capria India Fund I and Capria India Fund II that the fund had invested capital in since the first close.

Capria supports early-stage companies in Africa, the Middle East, South America, India, and Southeast Asia. Fintech, jobtech, edtech, agritech, climate technology, and SaaS companies are some of its main areas of focus. It oversees properties valued more than $207 million worldwide.
