Innovative travel accessories brand Escape Plan raises $5 M from Jungle Ventures

Escape Plan, a brand of innovative travel accessories, has raised $5 million in a funding round led by Jungle Ventures, Fireside Ventures, and a number of angel investors through its First Cheque@Jungle initiative.
The money will go toward launching quick commerce services, increasing retail presence, and acquiring new customers. In order to provide one- to two-hour deliveries in strategic cities, Escape Plan is collaborating with well-known brands and investing in production and capacity planning.
Escape Plan, which was founded by Abhinav Zutshi and Abhinav Pathak, a former co-founder of Perpule (which was acquired by Amazon), focuses on travel necessities for both everyday and leisure travelers, from backpacks and luggage to passport covers and neck pillows.
Within the next 18 to 24 months, the Bengaluru-based startup hopes to expand its physical store count to over 100, having already opened locations in six to seven cities.
Through its own platform, the brand offers both partner-manufactured and in-house products for sale. In India’s rapidly expanding travel gear market, it faces competition from other direct-to-consumer (D2C) players like Mokobara, Nasher Miles, Uppercase, and Acefour Accessories.
