Prop-tech startup WeHouse raises Rs 25 Cr from Anthill Ventures, others

WeHouse (formerly Hocomoco), a prop-tech startup, has raised Rs 25 crore (about $2.8 million) in a Series A funding round that includes both debt and equity. Current backers Anthill Ventures, Suresh Babu Daggubati, Gaurav Marya, and Mohnish Yerra were among those who participated in the round.
Anthill Ventures and other investors had previously contributed $1.86 million to the Hyderabad-based business.
According to a press release from WeHouse, the new capital will be utilized to extend operations to additional cities by the end of this year, such as Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Surat, and Chandigarh.
WeHouse is a prop-tech startup that was founded in 2017 by Sripad Nandiraj and Rohan Vinayak Reddy. It offers tech-led solutions for building and rebuilding homes. All parties involved in the building process—architects, contractors, material suppliers, engineers, and skilled labor—are brought together by this aggregator platform.
From approvals and architectural and structural design to project execution and interiors, its services encompass the full construction process. Additionally, the business offers a technologically advanced monitoring system that gives customers real-time insight into their projects.
By 2030, the Indian residential construction market is expected to grow to a value of $373 billion, according to market research.
WeHouse is currently active in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Chennai. With an order book worth Rs 150 crore, the company says it has completed over 400 projects and delivered 250. Selling materials to contractors, charging clients by the square foot (with commissions differing by city), and offering on-demand interior design services are all part of its revenue model.
WeHouse faces competition from firms like Brick&Bolt, which works on residential and commercial projects in Hyderabad, Chennai, and other cities.
