A pre-Series A funding round led by Prime Venture Partners has raised $5.4 million for Frinks AI, a deep-tech startup that focuses on visual inspection and quality control in manufacturing.

Currently, 1,000 production lines in industries like consumer goods, building materials, medical devices, and automobiles use the platform.
The money raised will go toward bolstering R&D initiatives and expanding into foreign markets, with a particular emphasis on the United States. Additionally, it is looking into joint ventures with OEMs and automation firms to expand its joint go-to-market strategy.
S Ramadorai, the former CEO of TCS, Dr. V Sumantran, the former CEO of Tata Motors, Dr. Tarun Ramadorai, and Dr. Gopichand Katragadda, the former CTO of Tata Sons, are among the strategic investors supporting the startup.
