Latitude59 pitch competition in Estonia invites African startups
Early-stage companies from all over Africa are invited to apply for Latitude59, Estonia’s premier startup and tech event, where they will compete for a non-equity funding prize pool.
In May, over 3,500 people attended the 12th Latitude59 event in Tallinn, including almost 600 investors and over 900 startup representatives.
Applications are being accepted for the Latitude59 pitch competition, which will be held at the event the following year, for African startups. On November 28, Nairobi will host a Latitude59 Kenya edition conference where selected finalists will make their pitches. One African startup will be invited to the main event.
The Latitude59 pitch competition has featured a prize pool of EUR1 million (US $1.1 million) for the past two years.
“Last year’s strong results showed us that African startups are competing at the highest level, and have great potential in globally important areas such as greentech, fintech, and cleantech. So now we are back in Kenya for the second year in a row and invite founders all across Africa to apply and present their startups at the Latitude59 pitch competition in Kenya,” said Latitude59’s CEO Liisi Org.
Applications are open here until November 1.
