Podcast platform Podeo raises Seed funding round
Lebanon: Podeo, the Lebanon-based audio podcast platform, has raised an undisclosed round of Seed funding, led by Razor Capital, with co-investment participation from Globivest, and strategic investors from various media and tech companies.
Founded in 2019, Podeo’s technology provides a localized experience for listening to Arabic and English audio podcasts through mobile apps. Podeo owns the largest audio podcast catalog in the Arab world, featuring hundreds of exclusive shows and famous names in the Middle East media and entertainment industry, the startup states.
Stefano Fallaha, Founder and CEO of Podeo commented, “The funds will be deployed to strengthen Podeo’s leading position in the Arab podcast industry, and double down on the growth already achieved.”
Ramzi Farah, Managing Partner of Razor Capital said, “What instantly caught our attention was the team’s ability to place Podeo in a prime position to move the audio industry forward with new technologies and a clear content strategy. We are excited to work alongside Stefano and the team as they continue to promote podcasts throughout the Arab world.”
The round will help the company move closer towards its mission of making podcast consumption accessible to all Arabic speakers.
