Rasseed app acquired by Saudi q-commerce Nana

The “Rasseed” application was recently acquired by Nana, a prominent player in the digital shopping solutions industry. Through partnerships with more than 37 domestic and foreign vendors, Rasseed is committed to offering software solutions that make it easier for consumers in Saudi Arabia to purchase branded and local gift cards for a variety of uses, including shopping, gaming, music, and telecom.

Achieving a seamless customer experience and expanding the range of services offered are key components of Nana’s expansion plan, which is in line with its strategic direction of digitizing grocery stores and hypermarket shopping. This acquisition supports these goals. Through the addition of a “digital cards” category to the Nana app, which will allow users to receive and recharge cards instantly, Nana hopes to capitalize on the combined capabilities and technological know-how of both companies.

The strategy also calls for improving the services already offered by the “Rasseed” app and adding gift cards, discount coupons, and shopping vouchers to its list of categories.

Sami Alhelwah, the founder and CEO of Nana, stated, “The uniqueness of Nana’s business model lies in its flexibility and ability to adapt to modern trends and the rapid developments in the Saudi market.” He added, “This deal will open up new horizons for us in the digital cards market, one of the most promising and growing markets in the Kingdom, with a billion SAR. This investment step is crucial in achieving our profitability targets and ensuring sustainability.

Mohammed Alasta, the co-founder and CEO of Rasseed, commented, “Joining Nana represents a new beginning for an ambitious vision and marks an important leap in our ability to provide innovative digital services. This supports our commitment to offering the best solutions that meet our customers’ needs, enhance their experience, and increase our enthusiasm for the opportunities this deal will bring.”
