Razer’s VC arm zVentures led $4 M raised by TripleA

In a fundraising round managed by zVentures, Razer’s venture capital arm, TripleA, a Singapore-based crypto payments company, raised US $4 million.

TripleA, which was founded in 2017 by serial entrepreneur Eric Barbier, assists businesses in enabling cryptocurrency payments and payouts. It offers a number of benefits, like fixed exchange rates, real-time fiat conversion, and no-chargeback crypto payment alternatives.

It is the first cryptocurrency payment firm to be granted a digital payment token license by the Singapore Monetary Authority.

“This strategic investor partnership with zVentures brings knowledge, connections, and consultancy in the gaming sector, a key vertical for crypto payments,” Barbier said in a statement.

Binance chose TripleA as the worldwide cryptocurrency payment gateway for Binance Pay earlier this month. Merchants of the former will be able to accept payments via Binance Pay as a result of the agreement.

Meanwhile, zVentures recently invested in a $5 million round headed by East Ventures for Singapore-based coffee tech firm Morning.
