Saudi Arabia’s healthtech startup Athir raised new investment
A Saudi-based health tech startup called Athir has announced the successful conclusion of its initial round of investment funding. Wa’ed Ventures, SHARE Investment Co., and RZM Investment participated in the round.
Jawad Chaudhry, Ahmad AlJehani, and Abdoulmohsen Alyoubi founded Athir in 2017 with the goal of spearheading the digital transformation of the healthcare industry. To this end, the company is creating a comprehensive system that includes medical insurance, revenue management, and healthcare management, as well as smart device applications that offer integrated medical records to clinic and medical center visitors.
Applied in both public and private sectors, the “Athir HIS” system is the first fully integrated Saudi system for healthcare facilities. In addition to hospital healthcare systems and medical insurance management systems, this system integrates with a number of platforms, including Absher, Sehhaty, and Wasfaty.
Athir’s Chairman and Co-Founder Jawad Chaudhry expressed his happiness at the end of the funding round, emphasizing that it is a big step for the business. Chaudhry pointed out that Athir is the first cutting-edge Saudi health platform created on a national cloud network, with the goals of giving service providers access to a comprehensive healthcare system, enhancing patient satisfaction, streamlining medical insurance processes, and accelerating the transformation of healthcare while generating new business opportunities.
