Seesaw expands its learning solutions globally by acquiring Little Thinking Minds

The top PreK–12 learning experience company in the world, Seesaw, has announced that it has acquired Little Thinking Minds, a leading edtech company founded by women in the MENA region that specializes in Arabic literacy solutions. With this strategic partnership, Seesaw—which is trusted by more than 25 million educators, students, and families globally—will be able to increase its already substantial presence in the MENA region and fortify its offerings with comprehensive, culturally relevant educational content and literacy tools in both Arabic and English.
In order to improve student engagement, enable real-time assessments, and fortify school-home communication, Seesaw provides a range of digital curriculum products and interactive, AI-driven learning tools that have won awards. In order to revolutionize learning for PreK–12 students, teachers, and families in the MENA region and beyond, Seesaw will integrate its interactive technology with Little Thinking Minds’s research-based Arabic literacy curricula and assessment tools. In 2026, Seesaw will introduce its first Arabic-language platform, further solidifying its dedication to authentic and multilingual learning experiences, in addition to its extensive suite of solutions for American and British schools.
The two businesses working together will empower teachers to design happy, inclusive, and customized learning environments, guaranteeing that each student receives support throughout their academic career. Seesaw’s interactive dashboards and student portfolios will provide ministries and school administrators with data-driven insights that shed light on learning outcomes and student progress.
“This partnership marks a major step in our mission to create engaging and effective learning experiences for students worldwide,” said Matthew Given, CEO of Seesaw. “Little Thinking Minds has built a strong reputation and effective products for improving Arabic literacy, and by joining forces, we can empower more students and teachers with localised, high-impact learning solutions.”
Established in 2004, Little Thinking Minds is a trailblazing educational technology company committed to reducing the literacy gap for students who speak Arabic globally, with a particular emphasis on the MENA area. The organization has provided evidence-based digital literacy solutions to over 400,000 students in more than ten countries through its platforms, I Read Arabic, I Start Arabic, and the Mizan Assessment Platform. LTM’s programs, which have been supported by independent research, have shown a 25% increase in literacy levels and are trusted by government initiatives, refugee education programs, and public and private schools to produce quantifiable results.
As one of the most successful edtech startups in the area, Little Thinking Minds has drawn investors and raised a sizeable sum of money. Algebra Ventures led the company’s 2018 Series A investment, which also included Mindshift Capital, Al Turki Ventures, and the ISSF Fund. Little Thinking Minds was able to establish itself as a leader in the MENA edtech ecosystem by using this funding, in addition to assistance from early investors such as Oasis500 and the Women’s Angel Investor Network (WAIN), to scale its platform, reach a wider audience, and improve its Arabic literacy solutions.
“We’re incredibly proud to be joining the Seesaw family,” said Rama Kayyali, co-founder and CEO of Little Thinking Minds. “As the leading Arabic language K-12 edtech in the region—with curriculum alignment across most Arab countries, a strong footprint in both public and private schools, and pioneering research and development in AI for Arabic literacy—this milestone represents a powerful next step in our mission. Together with Seesaw, we’re poised to scale our impact even further, delivering cutting-edge, culturally relevant learning experiences that empower children across the MENA region and beyond.”
