Six firms chosen by CcHub, Google for Rwanda’s Fintech Incubation Program
The six businesses chosen for the second cohort of the FinTech Incubation Program have been announced by Co-Creation Hub (CcHub), in association with Google, Rwanda’s Ministry of ICT and Innovation, and Mojaloop Foundation.
The three-month FinTech Incubation Programme is meant to assist young technology companies in developing products aimed at boosting financial inclusion. Nine firms were chosen for the program’s initial cohort, and they graduated with a demo day in July of this year.
Six businesses were chosen to participate in the program’s second cohort after a careful assessment process. The platforms are Expensa for expenditure management, Gwiza for savings and investments, Hepta Pay for mobile payments, Kayko for company management, SchoolNest Pay for school payments, and Smart Ikigega for financial services for farmers.
The teams will receive assistance from CcHub over the following three months in order to achieve product stability and scalability, market preparation, and funding. While utilizing Google tools and Mojaloop, they will be able to benefit from mentorship from business and subject matter experts. During a demo day in December, the entrepreneurs in this second cohort of the program will make presentations to investors.
The FinTech Incubation Program is a component of the FinTech Innovation Program, a collection of growth initiatives created to hasten Rwanda’s digital transformation in order to promote equitable economic development by utilizing technology and establishing a pan-African innovation ecosystem.
