Teacher accreditation startup CENTA raised $1 M from multiple investors

Leo Puri, Pankaj Sahni, Bahram Vakil, and Nikhil Mohta are among the angel investors who have contributed $1 million to CENTA, a platform for teacher accreditation.

With the money, the Bengaluru-based startup will introduce a Teaching as a Service (TaaS) product. The money will also be utilized to improve the current platform of CENTA technologically.

Teachers around the world who are looking for professional development opportunities and extra revenue streams can connect with potential employers like edtech companies, schools, and government agencies through CENTA’s TaaS platform.

The organization operates three verticals: skill-based training, teacher certification, and teacher training.

The Bengaluru-based startup, founded by Ramya Venkataraman, says it is improving the lives of over 1.5 million teachers and is present in 7,000 locations nationwide. In order to empower teachers in government schools and raise the standard of education generally, it collaborates closely with several state government and education boards, including NCERT, CBSE, and State Education Boards.
