The Orange Corners Designs program in Johannesburg currently accepting applications
Orange Corners Designs (OCD) is a program that offers young entrepreneurs in Johannesburg the opportunity to apply for funding of up to ZAR1 million (US $60,000).
The Netherlands’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports the Orange Corners Designs program, which is run by the Craft and Design Institute (CDI) and assists forward-thinking business owners in growing and leaving a lasting positive legacy.
Since its inception this year, the program has aided 40 companies in Johannesburg and Cape Town, and it is currently taking applications for its 2025 cohort of participants.
In order to help 20 chosen entrepreneurs improve their products, fortify their business systems, and meet important market demands, the 12-month intensive program will offer them powerful workshops, masterclasses, and one-on-one mentoring.
Selected companies may also be eligible for funding opportunities from the Orange Corners Innovation Fund (OCIF), which is also run by the CDI. These opportunities include business loans of up to ZAR1 million (US $60,000) and grants for prototyping.
The deadline for applications is October 31. In 2025, there will be another call for applications for new Cape Town participants.
