EvolveX Accelerator led $85K Angel round for UcliQ

The second cohort of EvolveX Accelerator led an angel round of funding of Rs 0.7 crore ($85K) for UcliQ, a business-to-business marketplace for seafood and chicken. HESA founder Vamsi Udayagiri took part in the funding round as well.

UcliQ stated in a press release that the money will be utilized to increase its impact and reach.

UcliQ, a company founded in 2019 by Sameer Malik, facilitates the supply chains for meat by offering a safe, transparent digital marketplace that links buyers and sellers, including manufacturers, wholesalers, brands, and HoReCa (hotels, restaurants, and cafes).

In the areas of poultry, mutton, fish, seafood, live chicken birds, and ready-to-eat foods, the platform addresses inefficiencies and reduces food waste by providing logistics and leaving digital traces that open the door to dependable, standardized, and quick supply chains.

In order to reach 20,000–25,000 businesses in Delhi/NCR, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad in the upcoming 12 months and generate an estimated revenue of Rs 15 crore, UcliQ reports that it has shifted its initial target of 1,200–1,400 HoReCa businesses in Delhi/NCR.

Founded by We Founder Circle in 2021, EvolveX Accelerator offers early-stage, revenue startups from a variety of industries high-impact acceleration. Among the many advantages of the program are $20K in upfront funding, $200K in credits, and one-on-one mentorship sessions with carefully chosen angel investors and industry experts.
