Two edtech startups acquired by Indonesia’s Ruangguru
Ruangguru, an Indonesian edtech company, has acquired Schoters and Kalananti, two education businesses, expanding its portfolio with coding and global learning. Financial information about the deal was kept under wraps.
Schoters assists students in preparing for undergraduate and postgraduate studies abroad whereas Ruangguru’s primary focus is preparing students for local university education. Between the ages of five and twelve, Kalananti teaches young children how to code.
Users of Ruangguru will now have access to Schoters’ instructional resources thanks to the agreement. Schoters, which was established in 2018, also provides services for planning international education and college enrolment.
In contrast, Ruangguru is working with Kalananti, which provides three coding training programs, to expand its range of educational offerings.
According to Ruangguru, its services are used 200 million times each month by 38 million individuals.
