Tech-enabled wedding planning and fulfillment platform The Wedding Company raises $2.75 M Seed funding

In a seed funding round headed by Wellingdon Advisors LLP, the tech-enabled wedding planning and fulfillment platform The Wedding Company has raised $2.75 million (roughly Rs 25 crore), with participation from LVX, Tremis Capital, and angel investors like Vivek Mathur, Rahul Garg, and Apurva Patel, Synergy Capital Partners.

Before this, in July of last year, the Bengaluru-based business raised $1 million in a pre-seed fundraising round co-led by LVX and Tremis Capital, with additional investors including co-founder of Wakefit Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, Ajith Pai, and Arash Ferdowsi.

The proceeds will be deployed towards strengthening its wedding services catalogue, building a robust category management function, and expanding its vendor partner network to standardise service delivery at scale, The Wedding Company said in a press release.

Co-founded in 2023 by Pawan Gupta and Rahul Namdev, The Wedding Company is a tech enabled, full-service wedding planning platform offering solutions across venues, décor, catering, photography, and logistics. With more than 2,000 verified vendors across multiple cities, it delivers seamless, professionally managed weddings for couples and families in India and abroad.

The startup aims to streamline India’s highly fragmented $130 billion wedding industry. It brings together essential wedding services, including venues, décor, photography, catering, and logistics, under one roof. The platform intends to deliver a premium customer experience for consumers navigating the wedding planning process.

The Wedding Company claims to have scaled its service order value from Rs 51 crore in FY25 to Rs 115 crore in FY26, representing 125% growth. It is further targeting Rs 350 crore in service orders in FY27, driven by an expected 1,500 new wedding bookings.

For the mid-AOV wedding segment, TWC primarily competes with organized players such as Meragi, Weddingz.in (part of OYO), VenueMonk, and WedMeGood.
