Endiya Partners led $2.5 M Seed funding raised by bio physical AI startup WATER

Pullela Gopichand, Rohit Chennamaneni, Nandan Reddy, and other angel investors participated in the $2.5 million seed investment round managed by early-stage venture capital firm Endiya Partners for the biophysical artificial intelligence startup WATER.

According to a news statement from WATER, the additional funding will be utilized for technical validation while the business develops an intelligence layer for adaptive surfaces, which might have applications in the automotive, aviation, and other industries.

Teja Vinukollu and Haneesh Mourya Desu founded WATER in 2024. The company uses VORTEX, its fundamental concept for comprehending how the human body interacts with the physical environment, to build adaptive surfaces, such as the FLOW chair and CAMA bed.

According to the Hyderabad-based business, its products react to the human body in real time by combining sensing, decision-making, and physical actuation. While CAMA concentrates on sleep, recuperation, and breathing, FLOW concentrates on posture, movement, and load during seated engagement.

According to WATER, it intends to expand the underlying technology beyond chairs and beds to various physical settings where systems and surfaces may be customized to meet specific demands.

While investor interest in the larger physical AI and deeptech ecosystem is developing, the adaptable intelligent surfaces market in India is still in its infancy.

Recently, Bengaluru-based Mowito obtained $3 million in pre-seed funding to create Physical AI foundation models for industrial robots, while Invisel secured Rs 4 crore in a funding round headed by IAN Angel Fund. In order to expand its physical AI-powered autonomous building solutions, Flo Mobility also raised $2.5 million in a pre-Series A financing. Yaanendriya was able to secure Rs 15 crore to develop autonomous-control, navigation, and sensing technologies for robotics and aerospace.
