Over $500 M raised by Granite Asia for Pan-Asian private credit fund Libra Hybrid

Granite Asia, an investment business with headquarters in Singapore, has raised more than $500 million for its Pan-Asia private credit fund, Libra Hybrid, thanks to additional pledges from institutional investors and a major insurer, DBS Private Bank.
The new backers join anchor investors Temasek through its private lending platform Aranda Principal Strategies, Malaysia’s Khazanah Nasional Berhad, and the Indonesia Investment Authority, according to a statement released by Granite Asia on Tuesday. The action came after Granite Asia raised $350 million in December 2025.
By giving finance to mid-sized businesses that may be ignored by banks and public markets, Libra Hybrid seeks to close Asia’s mid-market financing gap. Instead of competing for widely syndicated transactions, Granite Asia sourced deals through its own connections with founders and businesses.
With investments in industries like advanced manufacturing, consumer companies, and healthcare, the fund has completed eight transactions, made two exits, and returned money to investors since its founding in 2025. Granite Asia’s approach was based on a platform that included venture, growth, and credit with over $10 billion in assets under management (AUM), as well as a 26-year track record involving over 500 firms and 68 IPOs.
According to Ming Eng, the managing partner in charge of Granite Asia’s private credit strategy, businesses seeking expansion, bolstering supply chains, breaking into new markets, or technological advancements continue to have a high need for private credit and hybrid financing.
According to Jenny Lee, senior managing partner at Granite Asia, private credit is a logical progression of the company’s platform and represents the evolving financial requirements of Asian entrepreneurs and companies.
