Zeew raises six-figure Seed funding round

Egypt: Zeew, an Egypt-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup, has raised a six-figure Seed funding round, from angel investors based in Estonia.

Zeew first started out in November 2017 as a B2B on-demand delivery platform for small businesses, servicing flower shops, cosmetics shops, gift shops, and book stores. By 2018, Zeew began offering on-demand delivery technology built on top of ethereum blockchain. The same year, the startup entered the food delivery business delivering food from nearby restaurants to its users. Today Zeew provides on-demand delivery technology to many companies worldwide, including food, grocery, and pharmacy delivery.

“We help many startups, small & big businesses across many industries better manage and control their products, incoming orders, sales, and couriers,” the startup’s website states.

Mohamed Ghaith, Founder of Zeew commented, “The pandemic has changed consumer behavior and removed the barrier to using technology in getting day-to-day essentials, we see growth in grocery, pharmacy as well as food delivery. Now it became the new norm to order everything from an app.”

In order to develop its team and expand its marketing activities, the startup aims to use the new funds to add more features and tailor its product offering to suit the needs of each market.
