Mobile Premier League valued at US $2.3 B post funding
Mobile Premier League (MPL), a Bangalore-based e-sports and skill gaming platform, has secured US $2.3 billion in a Series E round of funding headed by Legatum Capital. Sequoia, SIG, RTP Global, Go-Ventures, Moore Strategic Ventures, Play Ventures, Base Partners, Telstra Ventures, and Founders Circle Capital were among the existing investors that contributed to the round.
MPL intends to use the funds to fund its worldwide expansion strategy, invest in its in-house technologies, and continue to expand in the Indian market.
MPL has offices in Jakarta, Pune, New Delhi, Singapore, and New York, as well as its headquarters in Bengaluru. It has over 85 million users in India, Indonesia, and the United States. Sai Srinivas and Shubh Malhotra started it in 2018. Over 800 people work on the gaming platform right now.
