Singapore-based AI Rudder received US $10 M in Series A
AI Rudder, a Singapore-based speech AI firm, has raised $10 million in a Series A fundraising round headed by Sequoia Capital India and Sequoia China Seed Fund.
Zhen Fund, IMO Ventures, Zizhu Xiaomiao Fund, and Huashan Capital were among the existing investors.
The fresh funds will be used to accelerate AI Rudder’s growth and expansion across the Asia Pacific and beyond. A portion of the funds will be utilised to improve the company’s AI and product capabilities in order to deliver better voice and language services.
“Consumers want faster, frictionless experiences while interacting with brands and their services, and AI Rudder’s technology makes this possible at scale. With the new funding, we will support more languages and expand our capabilities, enabling our mission to boost customer experiences across industries,” said co-founder and managing director Kun Wu.
The AI startup will also be on the lookout for additional talent in sales, marketing, and solution consulting. These positions will be situated in Singapore and will be in charge of global and regional operations.
AI Rudder, which was founded in July 2019, employs speech AI technology to assist businesses with B2C communication difficulties in a variety of industries, including banking, finance, fintech, and e-commerce.
The company claims to have assisted more than 100 businesses in increasing the scale, speed, and quality of their client contacts by assisting them with planning, executing, and finishing repetitive operations.
“Conversational AI has moved from being a medium of customer support to pillars of customer engagement and retention. Companies are digitising every aspect of their business at an accelerated pace, and voice is the next frontier. B2C voice communications is a US$300-billion market. We are excited about the applications AI Rudder is building to help companies make human-like calls at lightning speed and automate collection and analysis of data to reach and activate more customers,” said Rohit Agarwal, principal at Sequoia India.
Kredivo, Adira Finance, and FinVolution are among its famous clients.
AI Rudder, which now has offices and activities in Shanghai and Jakarta, has unveiled a new logo and website to reflect its revamped corporate identity.
AI Rudder has already raised two rounds of funding: a $1 million seed round in January 2020 and a $2 million round in June 2020.
