Infokost.id, a search platform for boarding acquired by Rukita
Rukita, an Indonesian long-term rental company, has announced the acquisition of Infokost.id, a local boarding home search portal.
The deal’s value hasn’t been revealed.
GDP Venture, a Djarum Group finance business, owned Infokost.id. GDP Venture announced the shutdown and termination of Infokost’s activities in December 2020. Rukita then took control and used a number of innovations to revitalise the company. Currently, Infokost.id’s property listing platform has one million rooms and services 50,000 property owners.
Consumers looking for a boarding house can use their mobile phone number to register on the Infokost website. Then, by filling out the form and immediately communicating with the Infokost.id team, customers may search for and make reservations at properties on its verified list by filling out the form and directly contacting the Infokost.id team, who will submit the request to the property owner.
At the same time, boarding house owners who want to work with Infokost.id can register their establishments on the website.
“With this acquisition, we can serve more consumers and property owners across Indonesia through Infokost.id. This is one of several Rukita business expansions planned for 2022,” said Xu-Zonne Ho, Co-Founder and CTO of Rukita.
Rukita, a Sequoia Surge business, aims to give residents and property owners a hassle-free living experience. According to a press statement, the company has gained a total of 13 million online users since its inception in mid-2019.
