Series C funding raised by Thailand-based Rabbit Care
A series C fundraising round headed by investment firm Winter Capital saw an unknown sum obtained for the financial marketplace Rabbit Care in Thailand. The parent company of Rabbit Care, Thai media conglomerate VGI, also participated in the round.
The fintech company with headquarters in Bangkok serves as a marketplace for insurance goods, including travel, health, life, auto, and business insurance. It also provides credit cards, savings accounts, and loans.
According to a statement made by Rabbit Care in March 2021, the organization has raised 850 million baht (about $23.1 million) in total. In the same month, the business bought Asia Direct Insurance Broker, an omnichannel auto insurance brokerage with yearly sales of over US $2.4 million.
Aiming for more than US $81.7 million in insurance premiums this year, Rabbit Care co-founder and CEO Michael Steibl stated in February 2022 that the firm wants to be Thailand’s top insurance brokerage. Compared to 2020, Rabbit Care’s insurance premium distributions last year were worth $51.8 million USD, doubling their value.
In October 2021, the company, which was once known as Rabbit Finance, changed its name to Rabbit Care. More than 70 corporate partners collaborate with it, serving more than 4 million clients. In its four offices, there are about 700 employees.
