Kabina raised undisclosed Seed funding from East Ventures

East Ventures sponsored a seed fundraising round that garnered an unknown sum for the sustainable construction business Kabina, which is located in Indonesia. Additionally, angel investors took part in the round, including Indonesian actress and model Sandra Dewi, who will also function as the brand ambassador for Kabina.

Kabina, a prefabrication and modular construction company was established in 2020 by CEO Fred Moeis. Its primary material is wood sourced from sustainable sources. The firm now employs 16 people, 65% of whom are women, after expanding since its beginnings.

The startup will spend additional capital on hiring new employees and product development. In addition, Kabina Market, an outdoor shopping mall, and Kabina Life, a SaaS property management tool, are additional products that the company intends to introduce.

Kabina is the newest addition to East Ventures’ portfolio of proptech businesses. Amoda, a construction technology business that provides prefabricated building solutions, raised pre-seed funding last month with the help of an Indonesian venture capital firm.
