Forge Ventures led $1 M Seed funding raised by edtech Jackett

Forge Ventures led a seed round that secured $1 million for the Singapore-based edtech company Jackett.

Along with angel investors like Siu Rui Quek, the co-founder of Carousell, and Projjal Ghatak, the co-founder of OnLoop, other investors that participated in the fundraising include Entrepreneur First and Epic Angels Network.

Jackett, which was introduced earlier this year, enables teachers to scan and digitize questions, build unique and tailored assessments from the platform’s library, and use AI to automatically score them.

In order to give teachers a more comprehensive view of their students’ progress over time, it also employs smart analytics.

The most recent funding will be used to develop Jackett’s operating system for individualized learning, opening it out to more educators and educational institutions in developing nations.

Right now, the business runs in the following countries: India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria, Uganda, and the Philippines. It has also developed over 50,000 assessment questions using the platform. According to the company’s statement, this has prevented the need for 7,000 hours of administrative work.
