AWS Global Fintech Accelerator opens applications for specific global population
In order to help fintech founders use the power of AI/ML and the cloud to commercialize smarter financial services solutions, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is announcing the launch of its first global fintech accelerator.
150 fintech startups from North America (NAMER), Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and Latin America (LATAM) that are utilizing AI and machine learning technology will be chosen for the AWS Global Fintech Accelerator.
Between September 18 and October 23, selected startups will participate in a six-week remote program where they will receive individualized business and technical mentoring on topics like funding, scaling, and go-to-market strategies, as well as technical basics of AWS, cloud and AI/ML adoption.
AWS Activate credits worth up to US $25,000 and a variety of other benefits from accelerator partners in the fintech, venture capital (VC), and financial services are also included in the package of benefits that cohort members will receive.
The top 15 companies in the program will be invited to take part in a demo day with a carefully curated list of investors, financial services organizations, prospective clients, and other important market players at the conclusion of the six-week period. They will get extra AWS Activate credits worth up to $75,000 USD.
“We are making big bets on the potential of generative AI to significantly change every customer experience out there, especially as it relates to financial services,” said Howard Wright, vice president (VP) and global head of startups at AWS.
“In the long term, we expect generative AI to usher in the era of self-driving money, when every consumer with a smartphone can have access to an affordable, trusted financial advisor that will help them improve their financial health. These solutions will leverage what the cloud does best: it democratizes access for everyone.”
Applications for the AWS Global Fintech Accelerator are open till August 14.
