Climate-tech Newtral.io secured $80K Pre-seed funding from startup accelerator PedalStart
In a pre-seed funding round led by startup accelerator PedalStart, climate-tech company Newtral.io has raised $80K (roughly 0.64 crore Indian rupees).
According to a press release from Newtral, the company intends to use the funds to expand its business and quicken the creation of a product portfolio geared toward meeting the demands of carbon accounting and sustainability reporting.
Avi Chudasama, Vinod Sonagara, and Anuraag Paul co-founded Newtral.io in 2022 to provide enterprise sustainability software that enables businesses to achieve net zero emissions. Additionally, it enables companies to monitor and reduce their carbon emissions while putting sustainable practices into practice.
The Bengaluru-based startup claims that by utilizing the Newtral.io platform, businesses can efficiently measure their carbon emissions, find opportunities to reduce emissions, design unique dashboards, and adopt sustainable practices.
With the aid of former business owners, successful startup founders, industry experts, and angel investors, Gurugram-based PedalStart helps founders develop their startup ideas.
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Massive Earth Foundation (MEF) launched LowCarbon Earth (LCE) 2023 earlier this month, a climate tech accelerator aimed at startups finding solutions to pollution and climate change. Avaana Capital also closed its $70 million climate technology fund in June.
