The autonomous institute ‘AlmaBetter Innovarsity’, which provides specialized technical education in Data Science and AI as well as software development fields, will be launched with funding totaling Rs 50 crore by the Kalaari Capital-backed edtech company AlmaBetter.
AlmaBetter Innovarsity has partnered with Woolf, USA, a global institution of higher learning that holds the same accreditation as universities in the EU.
By April 2024, 5,000 students will have graduated from the Innovarsity with a master’s degree in computer science, according to a press release from the business. A portion of the money will also be used for financial aid, merit-based scholarships, and enhancing the educational environment for all students.
AlmaBetter’s master’s degree in Computer Science is said to be equivalent to an MS from any US or EU institution because students who successfully complete the program will receive 90 ECTS credits.
Industry behemoths like KPMG, HDFC, Myntra, Blenheim Chalcot India, JP Morgan Chase & Co., and others are among the hiring partners in AlmaBetter’s network.
A 4-year residential program in computer science and artificial intelligence has been introduced by the edtech company Physics Wallah under the name “PW Institute of Innovation”.
