What’s Up Wellness raised Rs 14.4 Cr Seed funding from Unilever Ventures
What’s Up Wellness, a D2C wellness company based in Gurugram, has raised Rs 14.4 crore in a seed funding round coordinated by Unilever Ventures, the venture capital division of Unilever, a major FMCG company. Notably, this is Unilever Ventures’ first financial commitment to a company focused on health and wellness.
Before that, in 2022, the company received an angel funding round from a group of investors that included the co-founders of household names like Sirona Hygiene and Clovia.
The additional funds will go toward expanding their team, accelerating growth and scaling initiatives, and, most importantly, the creation of numerous new products.
What’s Up Wellness, which was founded by Sayantani Mandal and Vaibhav Makhija, sells a variety of gummy supplements that are simple to consume. Over 2.5 lakh users are said to have received services from it, and 4 lakh packs of gummies have been sold in India as of this writing.
With a current ARR of Rs 30 crore and a 40% rate of repeat business, the startup claims to have increased more than twelve times in the previous year. In order to satisfy its users’ needs for wellness-related use cases, the brand intends to introduce about 12 new products.
