Leading Gruhas’ pre-series A funding round, The Quorum Club, a lifestyle hospitality platform, has raised an undisclosed sum of money. The co-founders of Zerodha, Nikhil Kamath, and Puzzolana, Abhijeet Pai, founded the early-stage investment firm Gruhas.
Gruhas has bought 5% of the Gurugram-based business. The Quorum Club stated in a press release that it intends to use the money for expansion and to venture into new areas of India.
Quorum Club, a lifestyle hospitality brand that operates three brands—The Quorum, district 150, and The Business Quarter—was co-founded in 2018 by Vivek Narain and Sonya Jehan. With its The Quorum branch located in One Horizon Centre (Gurugram), the company has gained traction in the corporate, startup, and investor spaces.
The company claims that it incorporated lifestyle into work routines and announced the launch of its third club back in 2022. The platform states that it is growing the range of co-working spaces it offers under the brand name The Business Quarter (TBQ), which consists of spaces with a focus on hospitality that are co-located with its clubs.
According to Quorum Club, the Mumbai branch is being expanded to 451 seats, and The Quorum Hyderabad will have a 110-seat premium co-working space. Gruhas is involved in both debt and equity investments in various sectors, such as the media, entertainment, proptech, and cleantech industries. Co-leading its first investment of Rs 9.25 crore, the company invested in the well-known direct-to-consumer (D2C) underwear brand Bummer from Shark Tank.
