Fourth AUDA-NEPAD accelerator invited applications from African healthcare businesses

Applications for the fourth cohort of AUDA-NEPAD’s Home-Grown Solutions Accelerator for Pandemic Resilience are now being accepted from African healthcare enterprises.

In keeping with the goals of Agenda 2063 and the African Union’s Energize Africa Initiative, the Home-Grown Solutions (HGS) Accelerator for Pandemic Resilience seeks to promote the expansion of African healthcare enterprises and increase the continent’s capacity to withstand pandemics.

This is accomplished by providing healthcare businesses in their early, growth, and mature stages with individualized, hands-on support. In collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the official development assistance organization of the Japanese government, the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) launched the accelerator program.

The program was successfully extended throughout Africa in 2022, where it supported its second cohort of 14 ventures, after the pilot in 2021 supported five East African ventures. The third round of the program, which supported nine more ventures, was launched in 2023.

Among them were DrugStoc, MDaaS Global, Revital, Rology, Sinapi, and Zuri Health over the years. The most recent call for applications is currently accepting submissions.

Applications are open until May 14.
