Google’s Black Founders accelerator programme selected six SA startups

The Google for Startups Accelerator Africa: Black Founders program has chosen six South African startups, giving them access to up to ZAR3.6 million (US $200,000) in Google Cloud credits and ZAR1 million (US $50,000) in non-dilutive funding.

Applications for the program were accepted in October, and last week, Google confirmed attendees at the Africa Tech Festival in Cape Town. Google recently revealed the eighth cohort of its Google for Startups Accelerator Africa program, which also supports African startups through its Black Founders Fund.

In addition to the Google Cloud credits and ZAR1 million (US $50,000) in grant funding, the chosen ventures will receive one-on-one mentoring and networking opportunities.
